Yellow Code warning of rain, gales in 21 counties, Bucharest as of 2 am on Tuesday

The Romanian National Forecaster (ANM) issued a Yellow Code warning of heavy rains and gales valid immediately after midnight, for 21 counties and Bucharest.

According to the above-quoted source, there will be significant rains in the southern regions between Feb. 26, as of 2 a.m. and Feb. 27, until 3 p.m. Downpours will exceed 20-25 litres per square meter, and even as much as 40 to 50 litres per sq m in certain spots in western Oltenia and southern Banat.

In southern Romania, rain will turn into sleet and snow on Tuesday night and especially on Wednesday morning.

There will be wind gusts with speed exceeding 70-80 km per hour in southern Banat, including in the Southern Carpathians, and of 50-60 km per hour in Oltenia, Muntenia and Dobrogea.
