Export through Ukrainian ports reduced on the background of rapid growth of import

Cargo throughput of Ukrainian sea ports decreased by 1.9% up to 12.098 million tons in January 2013 compared to January 2012. This was announced in the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Handling of goods for export decreased by 6% up to 7.361 million tons, while imports increased by 16.8% up to 1.352 million tons. Transit of cargoes through the sea ports increased by 3% up to 3.322 million tons.

Throughput of river ports of Ukraine in January fell by 8.5% up to 144.8 thousand tons in comparison with January 2012.
