20% growth expected in tourism this summer

A 7% growth of the number of tourists who visited Bulgaria in January was reported by former minister of tourism Ivo Marinov. A market growth of 20% in the tourism sphere is expected this summer, Mr. Marinov added.

According to him, it was possible that Bulgaria achieved a 3% rise in the number of German tourists. Tourists from countries like India, China, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan also see Bulgaria as an attractive destination. According to Ivo Marinov, the full potential of Bulgarian tourism has not yet been accomplished.
