Romania will no longer receive power from Moldova
Moldavian thermal power station (TPS) will no longer supply electricity to Romania.
For Romania, the cost of Moldovan electricity has exceeded the admissible upper limit and the government was forced to abandon this source. But authorities say that Romanian consumers will not feel it - it's only 400 kWh/year.
For Moldova, in its turn, customer loss is insignificant, Moldovan TPS makes most supplies on its own territory.
Exported electricity cost for Romania was 10% cheaper than the usual export value, but nevertheless, the deal was ended. Moldova, in its turn, plans to review the contract at the end of March, which could lead to a rise in prices and the inability to conduct such deals in the future.
