Neckermann to bring over 7,500 tourists to the seaside in 2013
Over 7,500 tourists will arrive in the summer of 2013 to the Romanian coast of the Black Sea, by 1,100 more compared with last year, estimates a notification sent to Minister Delegate for SMEs, Business Environment and Tourism Maria Grapini by Karpaten Tourism company, the representative to Romania of Thomas Cook - Neckermann concern, according to a release remitted by the Economy Ministry on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
Most of the over 7,500 tourists coming this summer to the Romanian seaside through Neckermann are from Germany, but also from Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, according to the cited source.
The foreign tourists coming to the seaside prefer the four-star hotels, mainly those providing all inclusive services.
Neckermann for 2013 signed contracts with 11 hotels, and until present they already sold approximately 3,000 places, registering a 46.3 percent increase from the similar period of last year.
Thomas Cook, one of the main tourism groups worldwide, in 2012 started bringing foreign tourist to Romania again, through Neckermann brand, after it had withdrawn from the Romanian market in 2006. In 2013, Romania is present in its catalogues, the release mentions.
