Cargo processing by port railway stations of North Caucasus Railway grew by 22.4% in February
The volume of February processing of export and import cargoes, going via port railway stations of North Caucasus Railway, was 5.9 million tons, exceeding the results of the similar period of 2012 by 22.4%.
The average daily unloading by port railway stations was 3090 railcars a day (+20%), while the loading rate was 404 railcars a day (+41%).
The freight turnover of Novorossiysk port reached 2.6 million tons, exceeding the February results of the last year by 13.3%. The list of the largest volumes of unloaded cargoes included ore, mazut, and diesel oil.
The freight turnover of Grushevaya station reached 778 thousand tons (+4.8%) owing to the increase in the volumes of loaded oil products.
Azov port freight turnover was 160 thousand tons (+82%) owing to coal and grain cargoes.
Taganrog port processed 175 thousand tons (+166%). Such increase in the freight turnover was achieved owing to coal, mazut, and ferrous metals.
Caucasus port freight turnover was 305 thousand tons (+109%). Temryuk port processed more than 157 thousand tons (+47%). The growth of the turnover was ensured by oil products and black coal.
