Single-day cruises will be launched along the Danube Canal in Romania

Director General of the National Office of Navigation Canals Mr. Daniel Georgescu said on March 20 that with the support of the Council of Constanta judet (jurisdiction), Constanta’s City Hall and the Association for the Promotion and Development of Tourism on the Danube Delta Coast, domestic cruises along the Danube to the Black Sea will start this summer.

29 years after it was commissioned, the Danube-Black Sea canal will perform all three functions for which it was built - waterway, hydrologic resource for agriculture and tourism, Agerpres reports.
