Air temperature to reach +19 degrees by weekend in Moldova
The State Hydro-meteorological Service has forecast an increase of up to +19 degrees in the day-time air temperature on 26 March-1 April.
According to the first deputy director of the service, Elina Plesca, partly cloudy sky and light snowfalls on large areas are expected. Isolate frost on roads is forecast too. Temporary blizzard is expected. The night-time air temperature will oscillate between -2 and -7 degrees, whereas it will vary between 0 and + 5 degrees during the day.
Local light precipitations are expected on 27-30 March. No precipitations are expected during the rest of the period. The night-time air temperature will gradually increase from -3 and -8 degrees to +4 and +9 degrees. The air temperature during the day will rise from -2 and +3 degrees to +14 and +19 degrees.
According to the State Hydro-meteorological Service's multi-annual data /1886-2012/ on this period, the highest air temperature in Chisinau was +25.7 degrees Celsius on 25 March 1994 and the lowest -6.2 degrees Celsius on 25 March 1967.
