Azerbaijan predicts increase of tourists

Azerbaijan expects the number of tourists to increase b 70-80% in 5-6 years, Trend cites Minister for Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev at the AITF-2013 Exhibition.

2.5 million foreigners visited Azerbaijan in 2012. Electronic visas launched by Azerbaijan in March 2013 should increase the tourism flow, the official believes.

251 companies from 35 countries take part in the exhibition. They includes airlines, tourism operators and agencies, hotels and hotel networks, sanatoriums and recreation centers, organizations of extreme recreation and business visits. Appearance of the Real Estate Abroad section is a new aspect of this year’s exhibition.
