Krai to allocate half a billion rubles for security in Sochi

In 2013 Krasnodar Krai will allocate 500 million rubles to Sochi for the “Safe city” system development.

Krai intends to annually invest 1 billion rubles into implementation of this system in all municipalities of the region. The funds will be allocated on the co-financing basis. At that the regional center undertakes 70% of costs for development of the so-called multifunctional video surveillance complexes.

Sochi Mayor Anatoliy Pakhomov has informed that at present the major part of works on surveillance cameras’ installation in Sochi has been already completed. The city has installed more than 6 thousand cameras.
