OSCE Mission to Moldova to mark 20th anniversary in April

The OSCE Mission to Moldova will mark its 20th anniversary in April 2013 with a series of public events starting today with the opening of a photo exhibition at the Stefan cel Mare Public Garden.

The mission will participate in a film festival entitled «Why Democracy?» on 19-21 April, carried out by a non-governmental organisation. The opening ceremony of the festival will be held at the Spalatorie Theatre in Chisinau.

The OSCE Mission to Moldova will organise a table tennis tournament with children from both banks of the Dniester river on 20 April. The OSCE Mission’s head, Ambassador Jennifer Brush and Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Sergey Pirojkov will open the event.

On 23 April, the OSCE Mission will also inaugurate the Artists Building Trust art exhibition in Chisinau.

The OSCE Mission to Moldova started operating on 23 April 1993.
