Germany’s KfW to grant Georgian national parks €8.25 million
Germany’s KfW bank will grant the Georgian natural parks of Kazbegi, Kintrishi, Algeti and Pshav-Khevsureti €8.25 million, according to a deal signed on April 24 by Georgian Minister for Environment Khatuna Gogaladze and director of the Caucasus office of KfW Lars Oermann and regional manager of the bank David Bertolaz, Business Georgia reports.
The finances will be spent on infrastructure, monitoring of biological diversity, operation of administration in the next three years.
A project of the Program for Eco-Regional Development of South Caucasus was prepared for signing to improve the socio-economic condition of the local population, boost eco-tourism, management of natural resources and natural territories and develop tourism infrastructure.
