Private sector actively develops alternative energy in Azerbaijan

The State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy (ABEMDA) has reported on the active participation of the Azerbaijani private sector in the development of alternative energy in Azerbaijan.

The chairman of ABEMDA, Akim Badalov, said that the private sector has already created 100 megawatts of generating capacity in the alternative energy sector, about 40 MW of which is accounted for by small privatized hydroelectric power stations.
