Proposal envisages establishment of council for demographic policy at Bulgarian President
In an interview for the BNR, Professor Damyan Damyanov, chairman of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and the «Life for Bulgaria» National Alliance, called on the authorities to establish a council for demographic policy at the Bulgarian President.
According to Professor Damyanov, the foundation of such council is driven by the need of consecutive measures for the resolving of the demographic problem in Bulgaria. The council should analyze the legislation linked with the demography in this country as well as all other legislative acts which cause negative effect over the demographic processes. According to latest sociological data, Bulgaria is among the EU countries where the process of ageing of the population advances with highest rates.
