Bulgaria’s trade with EU: latest data
The national statistical Institute announced that in January and February Bulgarian export for other EU countries has increased by 17.3% on the same period of the previous year, reaching EUR 2 billion. The major importers from Bulgaria are Germany, Italy, Greece, Romania and France, which form 71.5% of exports. Meanwhile import from EU countries has increased by 7% compared to the same period of 2012, reaching EUR 2.3 billion. Bulgaria has imported most from Germany, Italy, Spain, Romania, Greece and Hungary.
Further NSI data shows a 2.3 percent decline in industrial production index in March on February 2013 and a 3.6 percent decline on March 2012. There was a 12 percent drop in March this year on the previous month, as far as mining was concerned, while production and distribution of electricity, heat and gas marked a 4.3 percent increase.
