Russian Northern and Black Sea fleets to conduct joint maneuvers in the Aegean Sea
Large anti-submarine ship of the Northern Fleet «Severomorsk» and tank landing ship of the Black Sea Fleet «Azov» will conduct joint maneuvers in the central part of the Aegean Sea.
According to the Northern Fleet command official representative Post Captain Vadim Serga, the ships of two fleets will carry out joint maneuvering and training on the establishment of connection with signaling in accordance with international radio traffic standards.
The command has also provided for the exercises on the survivability of vessels at sea and a number of search and rescue provision measures, Central Navy Portal informs.
In the nearest future the large anti-submarine ship «Severomorsk» will continue the performance of its tasks in the structure of the inter-fleet group of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean. Some time ago «Severomorsk» participated in the Gulf of Aden anti-pirate mission.
