Freight turnover of the Russian seaports at the Azov and Black Sea basins went down by 3%
In January – April 2013 the freight turnover of the Russian seaports at the Azov and Black Sea basins amounted to 53.4 million tons – by 3% less than in the similar period of 2012.
The volume of dry cargo transshipment went down to 16.6 million tons (-17.1%), mainly due to the reduction in grain transshipment, while the volumes of fluid cargos grew up to 36.8 million tons (+5.1%).
The rise in the cargo transshipment volumes was shown by operators of sea terminals at Rostov port (up to 2.7 million tons, +11.7%) and Taman port (up to 2.4 million tons, by 3.7 times owing to the commissioning of the oil-loading terminal). The freight turnover of Novorossiysk and Tuapse ports went down to 37.5 million tons (-6.5%) and 5.2 million tons (-18.3%), respectively, ASOP informs.
