Maritime and river ports are a priority for Transport Ministry
The major tasks of the government will be the expansion of the Black Sea ports of Varna and Burgas and development of ports along the Danube River.
This is a statement made in Varna by Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Danail Papazov during the International Conference of Maritime Routes. The idea is the modernization and the creation of a favorable medium for increasing the competitiveness of the ports.
Europe has great potential for the cargo from the Black Sea to arrive faster and in higher security along the Rain-Main-Danube river waterway to Europe’s largest port Rotterdam, Minister Papazov further said. Representatives of 27 countries attend the international conference.
