BSEC member states to develop cruise tourism
The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure has made an offer to BSEC member states for joint development of conditions for cruise tourism.
According to the Ministry’s press service, this was one of the issues for discussion at the meeting of BSEC member states’ transport ministers in Odessa on May 29.
Taking into consideration the positive trend in the cruise tourism development in the recent years, the Ministry of Infrastructure, in the framework of BSEC, has initiated the comprehensive development of the Black Sea region sea ports, vestiua.com informs.
To arrange proper cruise tourism development, at least 5 Black Sea region ports must have infrastructure, capable of servicing cruise vessels with the length exceeding 300 meters. In addition to that, there is a need to ease the customs procedures and to develop uniformed requirements to services.
