Ukrainian Navy vessel went for the first hydrographic expedition in the Black Sea

Such expedition is the first one in the history of the national fleet, conducted for clarification of the navigation and hydro-meteorological situation and research on the hydrological conditions in the north-west part of the Black Sea.

The next month will be used for sounding works, soil sampling, special hydrological exploration, diving examination of navigation threats and sunk objects, photographing of the sea coast elements, and other works in several areas of the sea.

The works will be carried out by the special vessel «Pereiaslav», commanded by CDR Dmitry Markov, as well as the group of navigation, hydrographic, and hydro-meteorological provision, being a part of the Ukrainian Navy Center for navigation, hydrography, and hydro-meteorology, commanded by LTCDR Ruslan Tsuman.

On June 1 the special vessel «Pereiaslav» put to sea to conduct the hydrographic expedition.
