There is no political decision for restarting Belene NPP project

No political decision has been made for restarting the Belene NPP project said Minister of the Economy and Energy Dragomir Stoynev.

The National Assembly has decided for the project to be frozen. From now on it would be necessary to make a technical checkup of the project and in the context of eventual consumption of energy in the region – to discuss the probability for unfreezing the project for the construction of the Belene nuclear power plant, Minister Stoynev said. The major goal of this government is not to allow the increase of electricity price for the users, he further added.
