Newly established “Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine” headed by Odessa port manager
Starting from June 12, Odessa Commercial Sea Port Manager Yuri Vaskov left his post at Odessa Port and headed the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine on the next day.
The new state company “Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine” (ASPU) commenced its activities on June 13, 2013 in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On sea ports”. The administration has become a successor for the strategic objects of the Ukrainian sea ports’ infrastructure and will create conditions for attraction of foreign investors into the industry.
ASPU major function will include the provision to all entities (with the state, private, and other forms of property) of the equitable access to strategic objects of port infrastructure, which will be the property basis for Administration and its branches at each sea port.
ASPU branches will perform functions on maintenance and operation of port infrastructure objects.
