Georgian Ministry of Culture refused to finance Batumi Jazz Festival

In 2013 the traditional Batumi Jazz Festival will get by €300 thousand less in financing.

Organizer of the Festival, "Eastern Promotion", has declared that in 2013 the major sponsor of the event – the Ministry of Culture – has refused to finance it, which fact has caused the reduction in the number of the event’s activities.

According to their information, in contrast with previous years, no free of charge concerts will take place in Batumi in 2013, and the ticket prices will be doubled.

Batumi Jazz Festival will be conducted on July 18-21, and tickets for concerts will cost from 50 to 100 lari.
