Sochi wants to introduce criminal punishments for unauthorized construction

According to the data by the beginning of June, 356 unauthorized construction objects have been demolished in Sochi. Such information was announced on June 17 at the meeting on city beautification and elimination of urban development violations.

Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov underlined that the situation concerning large buildings was more complicated. And the reason for that lies in the imperfections of the legislation.

The meeting was also used to discuss the issue of criminal punishments for unauthorized construction.

“We are currently working out the issue on the punishments under the “self-will” article of the law for legal entities and “illegal entrepreneurship” for physical persons”, – Mr. Pakhomov has noted.
