PACE refuses to discuss situation in Georgia
The CE Parliamentary Assembly has refused to discuss the situation in Georgia. The decision was supported by 58 votes, and around 73 members were against it, Trend reports.
The MEPs refused to consider the "Georgian issue" and decided that the appeals of the Georgian President and Prime Minister were sufficient.
Representatives of the parliamentary minority insisted on discussing the issue, as they believe the situation prior to the presidential elections to be held in October, is strained and equal conditions for all candidates' are not kept.
The "Georgian issue" was on the agenda of the PACE session this week.
