The public is against a new cargo complex at Yeysk port elevator territory

On June 25 Yeysk held the public hearings on the reconstruction and expansion of the Yeysk port elevator, located at the Yeysk sea port territory.

According to Environmental Watch on North Caucasus the hearings have proved that the public strongly objects the construction of another hazardous port complex in the midst of the resort city near the residential buildings.

The key factor is that there are plans to transship bulk chemical fertilizers via the terminal, which fact has been indirectly mentioned in the materials of the project Environmental Impact Assessment.
