Russia decided to fight for Euro-2020

On June 28 the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union mad a decision to submit an application for hosting of Euro-2020 final stage matches.

“In the near future we will place our demands to the candidates at the official RFU website. Then we will wait for applications from the regions and will choose one candidate city”, – RFU President Nikolai Tolstykh has informed.

According to the earlier information, there are plans that several countries will host the European football championship in 2020.

September 2013 is the deadline for submission of applications. Hosting cities will be named in September 2014.

The list of the countries, which have already submitted their applications, includes Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
