Gazprom to open first gas station in Bucharest this autumn
Serbian NIS Group, controlled by Russian gas company Gazprom, will open this autumn the first gas station in Bucharest, under the Gazprom brand, according to local business newspaper Ziarul Financiar. The company recently opened two new filling stations on the Bucharest-Pitesti highway.
Gazprom plans to own a total of 50 gas stations in Romania by the end of this year and 120 by 2015, following a total investment of EUR 150 million, according to Kirill Kravchenko, Deputy CEO for Foreign Asset Management at Gazprom Neft.
The first Gazprom filling station on Romanian soil was opened in Sibiu in December, 2012.
