Ukrainian parliament ratifies intergovernmental air travel deal with Turkey
The Verkhovna Rada has ratified an agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Turkey on air traffic.
The Law on the Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Government of Turkey on Air Travel was voted by 369 MPs.
According to the instrument, each party grants to the other party rights under this document for the purpose of scheduled international air traffic.
"The air carriers, designated by each party to the agreement, while operating an agreed line on a specified route shall enjoy the following rights: carrying out the flight on the territory of another contracting party without landing; carrying out the stops with non-commercial purposes or in points set for this route in the annexes to the agreement with a view to taking on board and removing from it the international cargo, transported separately or in combination," reads an explanatory note to the document.
