Throughput of Yuzhny port up 3.7% to 11.53 mln t in HI’13
In January-June 2013, Commercial Sea Port Yuzhny (Ukraine) handled 11.532,6 mln t of cargo (+3.73%, year-on-year), announced the stevedoring company.
In the accounting period, the company handled 6,289,500 tonnes of ore cargoes.
In HI’13 the port handled 407 vessels and 99,993 wagons.
In June, the company’s throughput made 1,549,900 tonnes.
Yuzhny port is located at the north-western coast of the Black Sea, in ice-free Maly Adzhalyksky (Grigorievsky) estuary, 30 km from Odessa port. The port’s approach channel is 3 miles long and 14 meters deep. In 2012, throughput of the port’s stevedoring company Commercial Sea Port Yuzhny totaled 22.72 mln t.
