Roshen surprised at claims from Russia's chief sanitary doctor
The international confectionery corporation Roshen (Roshen Corporation) has stated that Russia's Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being (Rospotrebnadzor) has no official complaints about the quality of its products.
Roshen said this in a statement on Thursday, published on its website.
"In view of the statements by the Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being (Rospotrebnadzor), Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation, Gennady Onishchenko, regarding the quality of confectionery products coming from Ukraine, including Roshen products, the confectionery corporation considers necessary to inform about the absence of official complaints from Rospotrebnadzor about the quality of the TM Roshen confectionery products, coming to the market of the Russian Federation (Customs Union)," reads the statement.
It is noted that Roshen Corporation has always complied with all the rules of certification for confectionery products and met all the necessary sanitary standards, observing the requirements of the state regulatory documents of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
The company added that to date it has received no complaints from the certifying authorities of the Russian Federation.
"All Roshen Corporation confectioneries are provided with equipment to monitor the quality control of products and the respective studies. The Roshen confectionery products, presented in the CIS markets, are manufactured in accordance with the latest technology," the corporation assured.
Roshen added that they are ready to cooperate with Russia's control authorities to consider and resolve the complaints.
Presently, the corporation is trying to contact Rospotrebnadzor to provide all the necessary information that will clarify and resolve the situation.
As Ukrinform reported, Head of Russia's Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Gennady Onishchenko called into question the quality of Ukraine's confectionary products: "The quality of confectionery, coming from Ukraine, has recently generated growing concern”.
