Turkey to establish aerospace center
Turkey will established an aerospace center called AIT Center, a facility which will be built by Thales Alenia Space (France, Italy) and cover 3,000 square meters.
Its construction will start in October 2013 and end in May 2014.
The Jiuguan base in China launched the Gokturk-2 satellite on December 18, 2012. It became the second satellite of Turkey after the launch of RASAT in 2011. Minister for Industry and Technology Nihat Ergun said that Turkey was developing a 10-year program for investment in satellite in technologies.
