New anti-raider under tests in Novorossiysk

The Novorossiysk Naval Base of the Black Sea fleet conducts the state tests of the new anti-raider boat.

According to the press service of the Southern Military District, the third newest “Grachyonok” series anti-raider boat has arrived to the Novorossiysk Naval Base. The boat’s crew, along with the experts of the manufacturing plant, has started the state testing of the vessel.

The boat has been designed at the Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Design Bureau “Vympel” and built by the “Zelenodolsk shipbuilding yard named after A.M. Gorky”. The boats of this class are designed for the fight with subversive and terrorist forces at the waters of naval bases and adjacent territories, as well as for assistance to the Russian Border Service.

After the completion of the tests the boat will supplement the list of vessels at the Novorossiysk Naval Base.
