Turkish PM launches new airport in northern Turkey
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan officially inaugurated Friday a new airport in Turkey's northern Kastamonu province.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Erdogan said the Kastamonu Airport had reached a passenger capacity of 75 percent since it began operating on July 5.
The airport has cost 100 million Turkish liras. He said, "Turkey's air transportation both domestic and abroad increased 15.5% compared to last year [...] We will inaugurate Serafettin Elci Airport next week" in the southeastern Sirnak province.
