Russian military personnel trains the skills of maneuvering defense at Abkhazia mountainsab
Field training of the young reinforcements of the Russian Military Base units has been commenced in Abkhazia. The training is conducted simultaneously at two training complexes: in the mountain part of the Republic — at the Tsabal training ground, and at the coastal area — at the Nagvalou training ground. Approximately a thousand people from the military personnel take part in the exercises, including up to 100 units of military machinery and vehicles.
In the course of the field training the military personnel will go through a 100-kilometer march, train their actions on the air defense during the air raid of the maneuver enemy troops, and go through the contaminated areas under the conditions when enemy troops have used mass-destruction weapons.
Also the motorized infantry, grenade launching, and artillery units will take part in firing practice on the targets, simulating tanks, armored vehicles, and maneuver enemy units at distances from 200 to 7000 m. about a half of the firing practice will be conducted in the night time. The field training will last until the end of August.
