A foreign bulker allides with quay wall in Novorossiysk port
A dry cargo ship flying a foreign flag on July 30 allided with the quay wall at the port of Novorossiysk, a source in Krasnodar emergency services told Interfax agency.
According to the source, the incident occurred around 18:00 (LT). The Marshal Islands-flagged cargo ship damaged 10 meters of the quay wall while docking for loading timber cargo. The ship’s hull also sustained damages. No one was hurt in the accident, there was no oil spill either, the source said. Investigation into the accident is underway.
