Throughput of Taganrog Commercial Seaport down 14% to 592,000 tonnes in HI’13

In January-June 2013, Taganrog Commercial Seaport OJSC handled 592,000 tonnes of cargo (-14%, year-on-year), the company says.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo declined by 36% to 280,000 tonnes including 247,000 tonnes of coal (-24%, year-on-year), 27,000 tonnes of ore products (-32%, year-on-year) and 15,000 tonnes of grain cargo (- 81%). 
At the same time, transshipment of general cargo climbed by 24% to 173,000 tonnes including 92,000 tonnes of metal which tripled in the reported period. 

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased by 23% to 139,000 tonnes.

In general, transshipment of import cargo lost 16% to 104,000 tonnes, export  was down 7% to 478,000 tonnes, coastal trade cargo – down 5.2 times to 10,000 tonnes.

Container throughput hit 4,000 TEUs. In the accounting period the company handled 6,531 wagons and 175 vessels. 

Taganrog Commercial Seaport OJSC is a stevedoring company of the Taganrog port.  In 2012, it handled 1.5 mln t of cargo.
