Ukraine ups grain export by 24%
Ukraine has already sold abroad 1.7 million tons of grain, which is 24% up against the previous marketing year. In order to intensify exports, the government currently has been working over cheapening of logistic services for market operators.
Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said about this, the ministry's press service informs.
“As of August 7, already 1.7 million tons of Ukrainian grain came to foreign markets. In addition, another almost 1.5 million tons of grain were delivered to portside elevators and almost 190,000 tons were loaded to ships,” the official said.
According to him, this year export of grain crops will be record-making. Respectively, the logistics system should run like clockwork. “We continue working hard in order linear elevators, railway transportation, and dock-side transshipment worked smoothly and effectively,” the Minister summed up.
