Ukraine ups gas transit to Europe by fourth

7.7 billion cu m of gas were transported by main pipelines to West European countries in Ukraine, 1.6 billion cu m or almost 27% up against the same period of the previous year.

The press service of the PJSC Ukrtransgas told Ukrinform about this.

On the whole, over January-July 2013, according to Ukrtransgas, 47 billion cu of natural gas was transported via Ukraine's territory to West European and CIS countries, which is only 7% less against indexes of the same period of the previous year.

Over seven months of 2013, 12.5 billion cu m of natural gas came to the gas transportation system of Ukraine from the Russian Federation, which is 6.3 billion cu m or 34% less against the indexes of the same period of the previous year.
