Passenger car production tripled in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan produced 326 passenger cars in January-July 2013, which is 3.4 times more than during same period of 2012, the State Statistics Committee reported.

According to the Committee, the country produced 147 trucks during the reporting period, which is 72.9 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Despite the increase in production of passenger cars, decline was observed in the production of trucks and tractors in January-July. In particular, during the reporting period, the country produced 415 tractors, which is 22.6 percent less than in January-July 2012.
