Compared with last year, fines imposed by the police increased by 13 million GEL
From January to June 2013, the Patrol Police Department has imposed a fine of more than 31 million on Georgian citizens.
From January to June 2013, the Patrol Department has imposed a fine of 31 106 828 GEL - "Institute for Development of Freedom of Information" released a statement.
IDFI received the same information for the corresponding period of 2011- 2012 in August 2012 and the data looks like this:
For 6 months of 2011 - 21 134 952 GEL, for 6 months of 2012 - 18 276 641 GEL.
The official data received from the Ministry of Interior shows that in the first six months of 2013 a volume of fines imposed for administrative violations by the police department increased by 9 971 876 GEL (47.2%), compared with the same period of 2011while compared to the same period in 2012- by 12 830 187 GEL (70%).
