Hotel business achieved reduction of tax burden

Ministry of Economy has taken into account the recommendations of the hotels business – the hotel manager "HoReCa group" says evaluating  a statement made by  the Minister of Economy regarding the introduction of a seasonal regime of taxation for hotels.

"HoReCa Group" representative Shalva  Alaverdishvili states  that as a result of the international research and given arguments, they have managed  to convince the government in the need to reduce the tax burden for hotels. He adds the seasonal taxation regime will facilitate the development of two- and three-star hotel business in Georgia.

As we reported, the government was working on the introduction of a seasonal taxation regime for hotels in order to promote tourism. According to Economy Minister, to support  2-3 star hotels in Georgia tax incentives would be developed.
