Krasnodar hosts wine festival

Krasnodar is hosting the Kuban Wines Festival on December 14, 2012. Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachyov is expected to arrive for the opening.

The wine of the year will be chosen at the festival. The third Wine Blues contest will be held.

Kuban wine-makers produce half of Russian wine. They plan to double the output by 2020. Tkachyov says that the region has all it needs to become one of the world’s leading wine-maker.

The festival will end on December 16.
