Over one million people cross Moldovan border during Easter holidays

Over one million people and nearly 204,000 means of transport have crossed the state border during the Easter holidays.

According to data put out by the Border Police, the Moldovan-Ukrainian border segment was the most requested, especially, the Otaci cross-border point, which recorded over 201,000 border crossings.

Under the data, over 308,612 border crossings, out of the total number of 1,002,506, refer to foreign citizens and nearly 693,894 – to Moldovans. Thus, the above-mentioned numbers show an 8.37 per cent increase in border crossing in 2013 against the similar period of 2012.
