PACE President arrives to Georgia
President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Jean-Claude Mignon has arrived in Georgia on an official visit, the News-Georgia.
«On May 28-29, PACE President pays an official visit to Georgia where he is scheduled to meet with the President, Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science, as well as with the State Minister for Reintegration,» said in a statement by the Council of Europe.
Mignon arrived in Georgia from Azerbaijan, where he also held meetings with representatives of the highest authorities and non-governmental organizations.
Mignon's visit to the South Caucasus completes in Armenia. On May 31, there will be held a meeting of the PACE Standing Committee under the chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of Armenia. In Yerevan, Mignon is scheduled to meet with the President, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, as well as with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country.
