Zurab Tkemaladze, a member of the Georgian Dream coalition, plans to initiate investigation of construction of the parliamentary center in Kutaisi. $218 million were spent on construction of the building and additional $12-18 million are needed, Vzglyad reports.
He recommended Speaker of Parliament David Usupashvili to study the problem.
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili initiated movement of the parliament to Kutaisi as part of his decentralization ideas. Georgian Dream, the coalition that won the parliamentary polls in early October, plans to return the parliament back to Tbilisi, but it has failed to get 100 votes to do it.
