AO JLC GROUP becomes majority stakeholder of Romanian company PRODLACTA
One of the largest Moldovan dairy producers - AO JLC GROUP, became the majority stakeholder of the Romanian company Prodlacta (Brasov). According to sources in the Moldovan Company, AO JLC GROUP bought 70% shares of the Romanian dairy factory.
“We are going to develop the company and to enhance its production capacities. At the same time, we want to hold firm positions on the Romanian market,” said a representative of the JLC.
The reorganization plan worked out by the JLC Company also envisages the repayment of debts by converting the shares, as well as offering Prodlacta 18 million lei, by issuing additional shares.
Moldovan citizen Oleg Solomitchi will head the plant. Over the past years, he has been participating in Prodlacta’s investment projects, which made it possible to increase the enterprise’s production capacities.
“We are going to make investments in the Prodlacta Company and have already displayed our seriousness by investing in its development about 4 million euros. We hope that in the next three years Prodlacta will be among the leaders on the Romanian dairy market,” he said.

In 2011, it reported a turnover of over 659.8 million lei, with net revenues of 12.9 million lei.
