Interior Ministry employees voice demands to future caretaker cabinet

The trade union federation of employees of the Ministry of the Interior has sent on February 25, 2013 an open letter addressing Bulgarian citizens and the head of state voicing their demands to the future caretaker cabinet.

The federation states it would oppose the nomination of a minister of the interior in the caretaker cabinet among persons, that have been part under any form, in former political cabinets as well as such that have previously stood at high hierarchy positions. The federation insists for civilian control on the Ministry of the Interior, performed through the appointment of a deputy minister selected by civil associations or NGOs.
