Opinion: Ukraine and Russia are obliged to make every effort to revive Black Sea Shipping Company
A member of the Federation Council of the RF’s Federal Assembly, and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources, Subsurface Management and Ecology of RF State Duma Ivan Nikitchuk has stated that Ukraine and Russia are obliged to make every effort to revive Black Sea Shipping Company, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
Such a statement Ivan Nikitchuk made yesterday, 27 February, during the round table discussion on the topic: “Ukraine: maritime state or country near the sea? Maritime industry — challenges and the way of reviving the Navy, Black Sea Shipping Company”.
“The issue of the Black Sea Shipping Company recovery is topical today and more and more often rising recent years. This issue is discussed in Russia, besides at different levels. I want to stress once again that recovery of Black Sea Shipping Company is the interests of both Russia and Ukraine. We have to get our presidents, heads of the governments around the negotiating table and to develop a plan of restoring the shipping company in any legal form, with equal share of Ukraine and Russia. Russian parliament will give strong support in promoting this project”, he noted.
