Azerbaijan’s Customs checkpoint on border with Iran may work 24h

Azerbaijan's Customs is well positioned to provide round the clock operation of checkpoints on the border with Iran, the head of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan Aydin Aliyev told reporters on April 22, 2013, writes Trend.
"If the decision on the checkpoints' continuous service is adopted, we are fully capable of providing it," Aliyev said.
In addition, according to him, Azerbaijan is interested in the restoration of the Aslandyuz-Goradiz border checkpoint. It was announced at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Mohsen Pak Ayin last week.
According to him, the ambassador promised to raise the issue with the government of his country.
